Puri With Potato Bhaji


This is a simple yet tasty potato bhaji which I prepare usually during sankashti /fast which is a no onion no garlic recipe and it goes very well with chapathi or poori. 

Ingredients

For Puri 

1 cup wheat flour

1/2 tsp sugar

water and salt as required

oil to deep fry

For Potato Bhaji

4-5 Potatoes boiled

3-4 green chillies finely chopped

1 tsp jeera

1 sprig curry leaves

1/4 cup coriander leaves finely chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp lemon juice

a pinch of sugar

salt to taste

2 tsp oil

Method

For potato bhaji

  • Take a bowl, and mash potatoes just once and then crush it to small pieces with ur hands and mix it with salt 
  • Heat oil in a pan add jeera and fry till golden brown
  • Add green chillies,curry leaves,coriander leaves and stir it well
  • Then add turmeric powder,sugar,and mashed potatoes
  • Lastly add lemon juice and serve with puri

For making puri

  • Take a bowl,add wheat flour,sugar,salt and enough water to make a semi-soft dough
  • Make small balls and then roll it in small round shape.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry till golden brown
  • Serve Hot with potato Bhaji
