Milkly Corn Gravy


Ingredients

2 cups freshly grated corn

1 sprig curry leaves

4 tbsp grated coconut

4 peppercorns

1 tsp mustard seeds

a pinch of hing

3 green chillies finely chopped

1 cup milk

1 tsp maida

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 tbsp ghee

salt to taste

Method

  • Grind coconut and peppercorns with little water to a fine paste and keep aside
  • Mix milk and maida and keep aside
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry mustard seeds for a minute and when it starts spluttering add green chillies,curry leaves,hing and corn and fry for 2-3 minutes
  • Add the milk-maida mix ,coconut paste and cook for 5 minutes
  • Add 1/2 cup of water,salt and bring it to a boil and then add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot

  5. Wow sushma, the milky corn gravy is very different and a new recipe for me...love the variations of corn dishes...will definitely try this one...
