Indian Style Roti Pizza

 This recipe was shared by my fb Friend Sneha Sinhal . This Pizza is lovely has a lovely healthy Indian touch that's why I have come up with this name ....you will absolutely love this Pizza and a must for all the Pizza lovers...Here goes the recipe for that :)

Ingredients
2 Tortilla Wrap
1/2 cup moong dal 
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 green chilli
1/4 tsp hing powder
salt to taste
For the toppings
1 chopped onion
1 chopped capsicum
1/2 cup grated cheese (I have used Red Leicester cheese ...you can use any of your choice) 
2 tsp oil
For serving
2 tsp coriander leaves
Tomato ketchup

Method


  1. Soak the Yellow moong dal for 1 hours and then drain it and grind it with cumin seeds,turmeric powder,green chilli,salt ,hing powder with little water to a fine paste and then keep aside.
  2. Take one roti and then apply the moongdal paste evenly on it .
  3. Heat oil in a flat griddle and then add the paratha such that the dal paste side should be down  and cook on a low flame till brown and then flip it and sprinkle on the topping evenly on it ,cover it and cook till its crisp and then cheese melts.
  4. Take it on to a serving plate,sprinkle little corainder leaves , squirt a little ketchup and then slice it with the help of a pizza cutter and  serve with dip of your choice.....YUMMM!

Cheats Veg Nuggets


Ya I know I have given a naughty name for my dish as it is as its name...this is a superfast Nuggets which you will absolutely love ...My son loved these small beauties and that lovely smile is the best compliment to any mom. This is sure to be a hit in children's party.....Now for the recipe :)

Ingredients
1 pack of Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini
( You can use any flavour which you like)

1/2 cup Store brought bread crumbs

For Plain Flour (Maida Paste)

1/4 cup Maida ( Plain flour)

1/4 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp Dried chilli flakes 

1/2 tsp Pepper

Oil of deep frying 

pinch of salt

Method

In bowl make a paste of plain flour, Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, Pepper and salt.

Dip Tortellini in Maida paste and coat them in Bread crumb. Keep it aside and prepare all the others the same way.

Deep fry them till crisp and serve with Spicy ketchup or Mayonise ....Enjoy!!!!
Variation : You can Replace Tortellini with any pasta of your choice .....I am sure with a pinch of your love you can always put a special touch to any dish :)

Masala Vada Burger





I absolutely love this masala vada espcially when mom used to prepare this ...I miss her so much ...well So thought to experiment in my own way in the way of the burger...just loved the Indian twist in a burger.

Ingredients



For the Vada

2 cups chana dal
2 onion finely chopped
2-3 green chilli finely chopped
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Oil to deep fry

Other ingredients 

Peri peri sauce or Spicy Mayo as per taste
4 Mini burger buns cut  into half
4 lettuce leaves
few onion rings
butter to pan fry the buns

Method



For the vada
  • Wash  and Soak chana dal for 3 hours
  • Grind the chana dal coarsely without water
  • Put the chana dal paste in a bowl and then add onion,green chilli,coriander leaves and salt 
  • Mix well and make medium size ball from the mixture and flatten each of  it with ur palm
  • Heat oil in a pan and then deep fry it till golden brown and crisp and then keep aside
For the burger
  • Slit the burger buns into half and toast them with butter on both sides and keep aside
  • Take a burger bun and apply peri peri sauce or mayo evenly on both sides,then put the lettuce,onion rings and the chana dal patties on it and close it with the other half of the bun
  • Repeat the same with the other remaining bun and serve

Pita Pockets My Way



This is one of the most beautiful and amazing recipe which can be made in no minutes provided the ingredients are ready but believe me when I say ..Ull absolutely love every bite of it ...great for picnics and lunch box's. Traditionally falafels don't use gram flour dip in batters and they are fried just like that , but I tend u dip it in gram flour batter and fry as they don't soak up lot of oil and the outer batter is absolutely lip smacking!...So do try this and leave in Ur feedback I have already tried  4-5 times and simply loved it everytime i took a bite:)

Ingredients

3 Pita bread

For Onion filling

2 finely sliced red onion

1/4 tsp chaat masala

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves

For falafels

1 can boiled chickpeas or 1 1/2 cup boiled Chickpeas

1/2 tsp coriander seeds

1/2 tsp Roasted Jeera powder

1/2 onion finely chopped

1/2 tsp Badshah Chana Masala ( or any masala of your choice)

1 1/2 tsp lemon juice

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 Clove of garlic finely grated

2 slices of bread (Ground into crumbs)

For batter

1/4 cup gram flour

salt to taste

1/4 tsp chana masala

Mayonnaise and any red hot sauce which u like for the filling (I used Nando's Peri Peri sauce)

Method

  • Lightly toast pita pockets for 1 min in the toaster and allow it to cool and keep aside.

For Falafels
  • Drain the chickpeas  add coriander seeds and Jeera powder and blend it to a paste without adding water.
  • In Mixing bowl take out this ground chickpeas add onion, lemon juice, salt, grated garlic, coriander leaves, chana masala and mix well. Now add the bread crumbs to it and mix nicely.
  • Make small round balls of the mixture and keep aside.

For the batter

  • In gram flour mix in salt and chana masala and add just enough water to make it a semi thick batter of smooth consistency . 
  • Now dip the chickpea balls in this mixture and shallow fry it in oil. ( You can also deep fry this in oil if your in a rush).

For onion filling

  • In pan add 1/2 tsp oil add in the sliced onion, coriander leaves, chaat masala and lemon juice and toss well for 2 Min's then switch of the gas and keep aside.

To serve

  •  Slit the pita bread into half diagonally . Now squeeze in   a little bit of mayonnaise put little onion filling in it then add in 2 falafals top with mayonnaise and hot sauce of Ur choice sprinkle a little chopped coriander and serve.


This is one of  the favourites in my house that it just goes in no minutes :-D

Chickpea & Corn Burger



This is my son's fav burger....This patties is so beautiful that u can serve just like that...u'll absolutely love the flavors in it ...simply addictive, soft and lovely....I'll bet even if u try it ull say the same thing....I had just experimented and used flavors which I  simply love...hope u all will like it too!


Ingredients

1 can Boiled chickpea (water drained )

1/4 cup frozen and boiled sweetcorn

1 tsp ginger (finely chopped)

1 small red onion chopped finely

1 tsp kasoori methi

1 tsp coriander leaves

1 tsp Chana Masala (Badshah)

1 big clove of garlic grated

salt to taste

For outer coating/ Batter

1/4 cup gram flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp chana masala

water as required to make a semi thick batter

Other Ingredients

Mayonnaise

Tomato ketchup

1/4 cup Sliced onion (fried)

2 Burger Buns Slit

Method


  • Grind boiled chickpea in a mixer grinder / Food pro without adding water.
  • Take it  out in a bowl add ginger, red onion, sweetcorn, grated garlic, Chana Masala, Kasoori Methi , coriander leaves, salt and mix well.
  • Mix well and shape it into a patties and keep aside.
  • Make a semi thick batter using gram flour, chana masala, salt and mix well
  • Now dip the shaped patties in the gram flour batter and shallow fry in oil.
  • Drain on a Kitchen Towel and keep aside.
For Arranging
  • Slit the burger buns apply mayo on one side and ketchup on the other
  • Place the fried chana patties on the center .
  • Top it with some fried onion . Sandwich the other half...and bite into it and enjoy the lovely flavored burger...Well it tastes so so so good...my son loved it :-)

Carrot-Peas Tikki Pav Sandwich


Ingredients

3 pav bun half slit
1/4 cup sour cream mixed with 2 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn and pinch of salt
2 tsp butter

For the filling

2 carrots chopped

1/2 cup green peas

4-5 cauliflower florets

1 potato cut into cubes

2 green chilli minced

1 tbsp spring onion greens

2 tbsp spring onion white

1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp cornflour

1 tbsp breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs for coating

2 tsp oil for the filling + for shallow frying

salt to taste

Method

For the filling
  • In a bowl add water, salt and all the vegetables and boil it and then keep aside
  • Grind 3/4 th of the vegetables coarsely in a mixer and then keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan, add green chilli, spring onion greens, spring onion white and fry for 1 min
  • Add the coarsely ground veggies and the remaining veggies and mix well for 2 min
  • Add salt, cornflour, breadcrumbs, garam masala and mix well and then keep aside to cool
 For the tikki
  • Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate and keep aside
  • Take a small portion of the mix and shape it in the form of a tikki, likewise repeat the same for the rest
  • Coat it in breadcrumbs and shallow fry it on both the side till crispy and golden brown
For the tikki pav sandwich 
  • Heat a tawa, add butter and fry the slit pav on both side for 2 min till soft 
  • Take a serving plate, take one pav, and apply sour cream on it evenly and then place a tikki on it and then serve with ketchup

Mushroom & Paneer Stuffed Garlic Loaf

This is very nice and yummy tummy filler I can say which completely satisfied my taste buds I just loved to have it for my brunch .....u can experiment and use any vegs u prefer instead of mushroom ....do drop in ur lovely feed back as i always adore to read them :)

Ingredients


1 garlic loaf


1 cup mushrooms sliced


1/2 cup grated paneer


1 onion sliced


1 tbsp kasuri methi

3 tbsp tomato puree


2 tbsp cream


2 tsp tomato ketchup


1 tsp red chilli powder


1 tsp pav bhaji masala


1 tsp cumin seeds


1 tsp garam masala powder


2 tsp red chilli-garlic paste(2 red chilli and 5 garlic cloves)


2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves


2 tsp butter

salt to taste

Method
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and when it crackles add kasoori methi, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, tomato ketchup, pav bhaji masala fry for a while then add the red chilli garlic paste and fry well till it leaves out oil. Now add cream and tomato puree and cook for about 10-15 mins.
  • Add onion and fry till translucent and then add mushroom and fry till tender add little water and coriander leaves and fry well till it leaves out a semi thick gravy.
  • Now slit the garlic Loaf into half and spread the stuffing evenly on one side. sprinkle grated panner and coriander leaves on it and put the other half of the slit bread on the top
  • Slice and serve ......yummy tummy filling bread is ready to have:)

Desi Makhani Paneer Pizza


I remember eating this long back in Pizza hut,they do a variety of pizza that includes desi version too & they do the best i can say but i tried my best to do the same way...i loved the indian version of pizza and so just made it this way and it was too good and really nice to have it this way for a change instead of the usual tomato sauce in it...So do try it, am sure even u all will enjoy doing this as well as having it...Am sure ur not bored yet of my paneer recipes:)

Ingredients


For Pizza base

2 cup Maida
2 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Other ingredients
Capsicum cubes, few paneer cubes for topping
1/2 cup grated mozarella cheese

For the Makhani sauce

1/2 cup cubed paneer


2-3 tomatoes blanched, pureed and strained

1 green cardamom

2 cloves

1 " cinnamon

2 finely chopped green chillies


1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste


1 tbsp green cardamom powder


1 tbsp honey


1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder

1/4 cup fresh cream


1 tbsp roasted kasoori methi powder


1 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp cashewnut paste


salt to taste

2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil


Method

For pizza base
  • In a small bowl put yeast,sugar and warm water and mix and keep aside for 5 min till frothy
  • In another big bowl add yeast mix, salt , maida and and enough water to make a smooth dough
  • Cover with lid or cling film and keep it in a warm place for 2 hours so that the dough becomes double its size
For the Makhani sauce
  • Heat oil & butter in a pan, add green cardamom , cloves,cinnamon, green chillies and fry for a min
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and fry till brown, and then add tomato puree,salt and fry on a low flame for 15 minutes
  • Add kashmiri red chilli powder,garam masala powder,honey, kasoori methi and mix well and fry for a couple of minutes
  • Add 1/4 cup water and allow it to boil then add paneer and mix well
  • Lastly add fresh cream ,cashewnut paste, green cardamom powder & close the lid and allow it to cook for 5 minutes and then keep aside to cool(should be semi thick & discard the green cardamom,cloves & cinnamon from the gravy)
For the Makhani pizza
  • Knead the dough again and Take big size ball of dough and roll out into semi-thick circle and put this in a greased microwave pizza pan and then prick the rolled dough with fork and put Makhani sauce on it, top it with toppings of your choice and grated mozzarella cheese
  • Bake the pizza at 180 C for 15 min or till the base becomes golden brown & till the cheese melts, allow it to cool and then cut it
  • Serve Hot

Quick Jain Pav Bhaji Sandwich


One of the easiest items in breakfast and if u want a quick and delicious dish then this is surely the right one for you.....and it doesnt take much of ur time as well

Ingredients


3-4 pav buns


1 capsicum finely chopped


2 potato boiled and mashed

1 tsp cumin seeds


1 tsp red chilli powder


1 tsp garam masala powder


1 tsp kasoori methi

2 tsp Badshah pav bhaji masala


1/2 cup ready made tomato puree


2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves


1 tbsp tomato ketchup


2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp butter


salt to taste

2 tbsp butter for shallow frying the pav buns

Method
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and when it starts to crackle add red chilli powder,garam masala power, kasoori methi, 1 tsp pav bhaji masala and fry for 1 min
  • Add Capsicum and fry for 2 minutes,then add tomato puree and coriander leaves ,butter and fry well till it leaves oil at the edges
  • Add tomato ketuchup and mix well, add mashed potato, salt and fry well till it gets blended well with the masala,add a little water if its too dry then bring it to a boil and then switch off the gas and keep aside to cool
  • Take one pav and slit it and then fry it with butter till soft and the keep aside
  • Sprinkle pav bhaji powder on one side of the pav and put the bhaji on the other side,same way repeat it for the rest of the pav and then serve it like a sandwich....(tastes really good even without onion and garlic and i made this in just 5 minutes as i had ready made potato mash also)
