Coffee Chocolate Cake


My son loves chocolate cake so i had done this for him yesterday and tastes yummy , soft and spongy....Really a good one to try as it was easy as well....

Ingredients


3/4 cup Maida


3/4 cup butter


1/2 cup demerara sugar


5 pieces of Milk chocolate


2 tsp cocoa powder


1/2 tsp coffee powder

a pinch of salt


1 tsp baking powder


2 pinches of baking soda


1/2 cup ricotta cheese


3-4 tbsp milk

1/4 cup white chocolate chips


1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

And few chocolate chips for garnishing

Method
  • Sieve Maida with salt, baking powder, baking soda and keep aside
  • Melt butter in a pan on a low flame, when its completed melted add chocolate pieces,cocoa powder, coffee powder and mix well and when its melted and very smooth take it out and keep aside
  • Add sugar and beat well for 5 minutes and then add ricotta cheese to it and beat it well with the help of an electric beater for 5 minutes
  • Add Sieved maida gradually with milk to get the right consistency and then add white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips and mix it well
  • Pour the cake batter in a greased baking mould,sprinkle few chocolate chips
  • and bake it in a preheated oven at 180 C for 30-35 minutes or till done
  • Cool it on a wire rack and then slice it and serve when required.

  4. hmm yummmyyyyyyy..i would have tried this for sure.but i dont have an oven at home :(..but will do once i get one :)..itss yummmyy in the pic itself..bet it would be superb to have in reality :)

  27. I used 5 pieces of dairy milk chocolate, if its a thick bar...if its to thin then 10 pieces of chocolate...and thanks all of you for your lovely comments..i hope u try and like this one

    Your coffee chocolate cake looks and sounds so yummy! It's so interesting that you add recitta cheese in the mixture. Maybe that's the reason why your cake if so soft and spongy. Can't wait to give it a try:) I believe my son will love this cake too!
