Pahadi Paneer Tikka Wrap


Wraps are so filling and scrumptious meal to me.... there are so many fillings which you could do with options are endless :D .....today I am sharing my fav which can be filled in a wrap and can be surely be made your fav too. Thanks to my sister Soumya Vishal Kamat for sharing such a lovely reicpe with me ...I simply loved and relished it from the day I have tried it :) 
Ingredients 

4-5 Ready made Tortilla wrap

1 cup of Paneer (cut into med. Sized cubes)

1 cup cubed onion (cut into big chunks 

To be ground to paste for mariande 

2 tbsp Mint leaves

4 tbsp coriander leaves

1/4 tsp Roasted Jeera powder

1-2 green chillies (adjust according to your spice tolerance level)

1 tsp Lemon juice

1/4 cup sev 

1 tsp honey 

Other ingredients for the marinade 

3 tbsp curd 

1 tbsp cream 

1/4 tsp cornflour 

salt to taste

3 tbsp oil 

Method

  • In mixer grinder add in mint, coriander leaves, roasted Jeera powder, Green chilli, lemon juice , sev , honey to a fine paste. Add salt to taste and mix.
  • Then remove it from the mixer grinder add in curd, cream, cornflour give a good mix. then add in Paneer, Capsicum, onion and mix well. Set the marinade aside for 20 mins.
  • Heat oil in non stick pan and fry the marinade  till it leaves out oil and becomes v thick Or you can arrange in a skewer stick and roast it on tawa . choice is yours how you would like it to be .
  • Heat the non stick tawa and heat up the tortilla on both side. Then put the filling in the center and wrap it up .
  • Serve with onion rings which is rosted for a min and sprinkled with chaat masala ...Enjoy ...its Awesome !

Chicken 65 Frankie



Ingredients
For Paratha
Frozen paratha or tortilla
1 egg for each paratha

For Chicken 65
1 boneless chicken breast cut into small cubes

For Marination
1/2 egg beaten
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chopped curry leaves
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
pinch of red food colour
1 tsp cornflour or as required
salt to taste

For the  Masala
1 onion finely chopped
1 " ginger finely chopped
6 garlic cloves finely chopped
3-4 minced green chillies
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
a pinch of red food colour
2 sprigs of curry leaves
3 tbsp curds mixed ith 1/4 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp all purpose flour
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
2 tsp oil + for deep frying

Other ingredients
1 onion cut into thin roundels
1/2 tsp chaat masala

Method
For chicken 65

  • Marinate the chicken with the ingredients mentioned under marinade for 2 hours and then deep fry in batches till its cooked and crisp and then keep aside
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan add garlic,ginger,green chilli and fry for a min
  • Then add onion,curry leaves and fry till light brown, add chilli powder,salt and fry for few seconds
  • Add the curd mix,food colour and little water and stir continously 
  • Add salt,fried chicken pieces and mix well till it gets coated with all the masala and lastly add coriander leaves and serve hot

For the Frankie



  • Heat a griddle add the frozen paratha and cook on both sides till done 
  • add the beaten egg on one side of the paratha and flip it and cook and keep aside
  • Do the same thing for the remaining paratha and egg
  • Take a paratha and put the filling in the center of it, add onions mixed with chaat masala and fold the 2 corners of the paratha and insert a toothpick and then serve with green chutney

Crispy N Spicy Potato Wedges Roll Ups


Ingredients

2-3 tortilla

For Mayo schezwan dip

1/2 cup Mayo

1/4 cup schezwan sauce

2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion greens

pinch of salt 

pinch of fresh black pepper

For the Baked Potato Wedges

3 potatoes cut into wedges

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn

1 tsp mixed herb

2 tsp olive oil

salt to taste

Method

  • Marinate the potato wedges with paprika, pepper,garlic powder mixed herb, olive oil and salt for 15 min and then bake it in a preheated oven at 180 C for 15 min, then turn it and then bake it for 15 more min till crisp
  • Mix all the ingredients for the dip and keep aside
  • Take a tortilla , apply the dip evenly on it and then arrange 3 potato wedges in the center and then roll it, cut it into 2 and then serve it hot

Onion Bhaji & Cheese Wrap


I Just loved experimenting this wrap it had such vibrant flavours when I took the bite that I cannot express. So If u fancy something new try this and love this:)

Ingredients

3 Tortilla Wrap

1/4 cup Cheese (Any variety)

oil for deep frying the bhajis

salt to taste

For Onion Bhaji

2 onion Sliced

4-5 curry leaves finely chopped

2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

salt to taste

4 tbsp Gram Flour

2 green chilly finely chopped

little water to bind them

For Green Chutney

1/2 cup coriander leaves

1 Clove of garlic

3 tbsp coconut

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 green chilly

salt to taste

Method

For Green Chutney
  • Blend the ingredients under Green chutney adding little water to a smooth consistency.
For the Onion Bhajis
  • Mix all the ingredients under Kanda bhaji add little water to make it crisp and take one spoon of the batter, deep fry in oil in small batches. Drain and keep aside.
  • Heat the tortilla Wrap on a tawa for 1 min then keep aside.
  • Take it on a plate and spread the green chutney evenly then place fried onion bhajis in the center then place cheese on it evenly roll and take a yummy bite...ull love it I am sure :)

Coconut & Boondi Roll Ups


Ingredients

2-3 Tortilla

1/2 cup Boondi 

2 tbsp hung yogurt

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp red chilli powder

For the Chutney

3 tbsp grated coconut

3 tbsp peanuts

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

2 cloves of garlic

salt to taste 

Method

For the chutney
  • Grind coconut,peanuts, red chilli powder, garlic, salt and few drops of water to a coarse paste and then keep it aside
For the Roll
  • Heat a pan and warm up the tortillas on both the sides for few seconds and keep aside
  • Place a tortilla on a plate, spread hung yogurt on it evenly and then sprinkle chutney on it all over 
  • Add boondi, sprinkle coriander leaves, a pinch of cumin powder, a pinch of red chilli powder evenly and then roll it , slice into 2 and then serve immediately

Gobi Kheema Roll

 
Ingredients

2-3 tortilla

For the filling

1 cup grated cauliflower

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 inch of cinnamon

1 onion chopped

2-3 green chilli finely chopped

1 tsp ginger chopped
5-6 crushed curry leaves

1 tomato chopped

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp tomato ketchup

2 tsp chopped coriander leaves

2 tsp butter

1 tsp oil

salt to taste

For Onion-Mint Mix

Few finely sliced onion

Few finely sliced tomato

Few sliced lettuce

2 tbsp yogurt-mint dip(2 tsp coriander, 1 tsp mint leaves,1/2 tsp lemon juice,1 green chilli,salt...blend it with little water and then mix with yogurt)

salt to taste

1 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn

Method
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add cinnamon, cumin seeds and when it crackles add onion and fry till translucent
  • Add green chilli, ginger, curry leaves,and fry for a min and then add cauliflower  and fry for 3-4 minutes
  • Add turmeric powder,chilli powder,garam masala powder,jaiphal powder & little water and fry for 1-2 min
  • Add tomato, tomato ketchup and fry till half mashed and then add salt,(add a little water if its too dry) & coriander leaves and serve hot
For The onion-Mint Mix
  • Mix all the ingredients metioned under onion-mint mix and then keep aside
For the Roll
  • Take one tortilla, Put the 2 tsp on onion-mint mix in the center  and then put 2 tsp of the filling on it and then roll it , cut it into 2 and then serve

Hot Garlic & Schezwan Paneer Roll


Ingredients

4 tortilla or chapathi


Few sliced onion

Few shredded cabbage


1/2 tsp oil

For the Hot Garlic Sauce

1 tsp red chilli paste

2 tsp garlic chopped


1 tsp soya sauce


1/2 tsp red chilli sauce


2 tsp tomato ketchup


1 tsp vinegar


1/4 tsp sugar


salt to taste

1 tsp oil

2 tsp cornflour in 1/2 cup water


For the schezwan paneer


1 cup paneer


1 tsp maida

1 tsp cornflour

1/2 cup onion chopped


1 tsp chilli paste


1 tsp schezwan sauce


1/2 small capsicum chopped


2 tbsp spring onion finely chopped


1/2 tsp soya sauce


1 tsp vinegar


salt to taste

2 tsp oil


Method
  • Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a nonstick pan and fry the onion and cabbage for 2-3 min and then keep aside
  • Sprinkle Maida, cornflour and salt on the paneer, mix well and then deep fry it and keep aside
For the schezwan paneer
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the garlic, spring onion and fry for a min and then add onion, capsicum and fry for 2 min
  • Add chilli paste, schezwan sauce ,soya sauce, vinegar, salt and mix well and then add cubed paneer fry for another min
  • Sprinkle a little water if needed and then keep aside
For the garlic sauce
  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and red chilli paste and fry for 2 min and then add soya sauce, red chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and fry for 2 min
  • Add cornflour paste and stir continuously and then add vinegar,salt,sugar and cook till the sauce is thick and then keep aside
For the Roll
  • Take a tortilla and apply 2 tsp hot garlic sauce on it evenly and then put few sliced onion and shredded cabbage and then the 1-2 tbsp stuffing in the center and sprinkle spring onion on it and then roll it
  • Do the same for other wraps as well and then serve hot

For soft Paneer

Soak the paneer cubes in warm water with 1 tsp lemon juice for 20 min and then use it as required

If you dont want to deep fry the paneer just use it the way it is

Wrapped Up Paneer Balls


One word to describe this recipe 'Lovely' ....I just loved to experiment this recipe according to my taste buds ......I have tried to create a yummy snack roll which is so much is Indian, that I just loved the texture and the flavours in it .....curry leaves adds such a nice aroma that I loved using it in this recipe ...so try it and fall in love with it :)

Ingredients

3 Tortilla

1 Onion thinly sliced

1 tbsp tomato ketchup or chilli sauce

1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp oil

salt to taste

For the Paneer Balls


1 cup finely grated paneer

1/4 green capsicum chopped

1/4 red capsicum chopped

1 sprig of curry leaves finely chopped

1 tsp grated ginger

2 green chillies finely chopped

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

1 tbsp cornflour

salt to taste

Oil to deep fry

For the Maida/flour paste

1/4 Cup plain flour

salt to taste

water

Method

For the Maida/flour paste

  • Mix plain flour,salt and enough water to a smooth and semi-thick pate and then keep aside
For the Paneer balls
  • In a mixing bowl, add paneer, green capsicum,green capsicum,curry leaves, green chillies, coriander leaves,ginger,cornflour and salt and mix it well

  • Make Lemon size balls of the mix and keep aside

  • Heat a deep pan, add oil and when its hot dip each balls in Maida/flour paste and then deep fry it till golden brown ,drain it on a kitchen towel and then keep aside

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in another pan and fry sliced onion till translucent and then add tomato ketchup or chilli sauce and fry for 1-2 min and then add salt & paneer balls and toss it well and then put coriander leaves and keep aside
For the Wrap
  • Take a tortilla, put 3 paneer balls in the center and then roll it and then serve it with sauce or mint chutney

Pickled Chana Roll


Here's another amazing wrap which my hubby just loved having it :)...when it comes to dal and kabuli chana I never stop experimenting these two things and this chole is always a hit at my home and it always get completed in no minutes ...I tried making this wrap with this and I just loved the result ...its spicy and just lovely to have it ....well I have used Priya brand Mango Thokku pickle for this recipe cause its one of my favourite pickle ..u can use any of ur fav pickle of ur choice ...I can just say one thing TRY IT AND LOVE IT :)

Ingredients

2-3 Flour Tortilla

For the yogurt-onion Mix

1/2 onion sliced

1 tomato sliced

2-3 tbsp hung yogurt

1 tsp dry mint

salt & Crushed peppercorn to taste

For the Pickled Chana

1 cup white chickpeas

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

6-8 methi seeds

1/2 tsp asafoetida (hing)

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1 tsp chana masala

3/4 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp Mango Pickle(i used Priya Pickle Mango Thokku)

3 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 tomato chopped

2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves

salt to taste

2 tsp oil

Method

For the Pickled Chana
  • Wash & soak chickpeas overnight and then pressure cook it till done ,drain & keep aside
  • In a bowl, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, chana masala, coriander powder and mix well and then keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, methi seeds and when it splutters add hing and fry for a min
  • Add the powder mix and fry on a low flame for 2 minutes and then add the pickle and fry
  • Add tomato ketchup & mix well and fry for another 2 min and then add tomato and fry till half mashed
  • Add chickpeas, salt, 1/2 cup water and bring it to a boil and cook it till dry
  • Lastly add coriander leaves and keep aside to cool

For The Yogurt-onion Mix

  • Dry roast tomato and onion,dry mint and then take it out in a bowl
  • Add yogurt, salt , pepper & mix it well and keep aside
For the Roll
  • Take a tortilla Put 1-2 tbsp of yogurt-onion mix in the center and top it up with chickpea filling and then roll it

  • Repeat the same for the rest and then serve.

Cottage Cheese Shawarma Wrap


I used to have chicken shawarma wrap when i was in banglore, it was my fav among wrap and i really wanted to have it today so i tried making a vegetarian version of it with paneer and the taste was too good and me & my family enjoyed having it as well after a very long time..

Ingredients


4-5 flour tortilla

For the Filling

1 cup paneer cut diagonally


1/2 capsicum cut into thin long strips

1 onion sliced


4-5 garlic cloves


2 tbsp coriander leaves


1 tbsp kasuri methi


1 tsp honey


2-3 green chilli chopped


2 tbsp cream


1 " cinnamon

salt to taste

2 tsp oil

1 tsp garam masala powder


For the Salad


1/2 cup sour cream

1 onion sliced


1 tomato cut into thin long strips


2 tsp dry mint


2 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn


salt to taste


Other ingredients


1/4 cup hummus
(given below)

1-2 lettuce leaf


For Herbed Hummus

1/4 cup boiled chickpeas

juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tsp hung curds

1 tsp chopped parsley

1 clove of garlic

salt to taste

Method


For the Herbed Hummus
  • Blend all the ingredients with little water to a smooth paste and then keep aside
For the Filling
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, when it crackles add onion and fry till translucent
  • Add coriander leaves, garlic, green chilli and fry for 1-2 minutes
  • Add kasuri methi, salt, garam masala powder and fry well and then keep aside to cool
  • Blend it with honey, cream, cinnamon & little water to a smooth paste and take in out in a bowl
  • Then add paneer & capsicum and marinate it for 30 minutes
  • Heat oil in a nonstick pan and fry the marinated paneer till golden brown on both sides(keep stirring it) & the paste is well blended with the paneer and then keep aside


For the Salad
  • Roast the onion and tomato for 1-2 minutes and take it out in a bowl
  • Add sourcream,salt,dry mint,pepper and mix well and then keep aside
To Assemble the wrap
  • Take one tortilla and apply humus on it evenly
  • Put lettuce leaf in the center, and top it up with salad,and 1-2 tsbp paneer pieces as shown below and then roll it up ,
  • then wrap it up with aluminum foil and cut into half,repeat the same for the rest of the tortilla and the filling and then serve hot

Schezwan Paneer Dragon Roll


Long back i had eaten this in a chinese restaurant in bangalore and i really liked the taste as it was spicy and different from the usual spring rolls.. they had used a potato filling but here i have used paneer and made it spicy and tasty....so do try this out and am sure u all will like it ......and wishing all of you a very

Ingredients


5-6 Patti sheets or wrappers

1 cup crumbled paneer

2 tbsp grated mozzarella cheese


4 tbsp chopped spring onion greens


1/4 cup chopped spring onions


2-3 tbsp schezwan sauce

1 tsp red chilli-garlic paste
or sauce

1 tsp vinegar

salt to taste

Maida paste to seal the edges of the sheets


oil to deep fry

Method


For the Filling
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the spring onion and half the spring onion greens for 1 min, and then add red chilli-garlic paste and fry for 1-2 minutes
  • Then add the schezwan sauce,vinegar and fry for another min, then add the crumbled paneer,cheese ,salt if required and mix well
  • Add the rest of the spring onions and mix well and keep the filling aside to cool

For the Rolls
  • Cut each patti sheet into rectangular shape and keep aside
  • Take one patti sheet and fold both the sides as shown below and put 1 tbsp filling at the end of the sheet

  • Roll it up tightly starting from the end and seal the edge using the maida paste and repeat the same for the rest of the sheets

  • Heat oil in a pan, and fry the rolls(2-3 at a time) on a medium flame till crispy and golden brown on both the sides and then drain on an kitchen towel
  • Take it out in a serving dish and garnish it with spring onion greens and serve hot with ketchup.

veggie Jalfrezi Kathi Roll








My son loves wraps so this was the best way to make him have all the vegetables as well and he enjoyed having it too....i usually do Mushroom jalfrezi so thought of making it little different by adding all other vegetables and added a few curry leaves to make it more flavourful and it turned out to be a nice filling for a wrap, Easy and yet a very yummy one!!!

Ingredients


4 tortilla


1 onion finely sliced

1/2 green capsicum cut into thin fingers


1/4 cup Paneer cut into thin fingers


1 carrot cut into thin fingers

2-3 mushrooms(small) finely sliced (opt)

1/2 red capsicum cut into thin fingers


1 Tbsp kasoori Methi


1 tsp cumin seeds


1/2 tsp mustard seeds


10 curry leaves

2 tsp oil

To be Mixed together


3 tbsp tomato puree

1 tbsp tomato ketchup


2 tsp ginger-garlic paste


1 tsp coriander powder


1 tsp garam masala powder


salt to taste


Other ingredients


1/2 cup sour cream


2 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn


Method
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients mentioned under " mix together" and keep aside
  • Heat oil in a pan,add cumin seeds,mustard seeds and when it starts crackling, add sliced onion and fry for 1-2 minutes
  • Add curry leaves and kasoori methi and fry for another min
  • Add the ingredients mixed in the bowl and fry for 2-3 minutes till the oil leaves the sides of the pan
  • Add carrots, green capsicum,red capsicum,paneer,mushrooms and fry for 5 minutes ( vegetables should be crunchy) and then keep aside to cool
For Kathi rolls
  • Slightly heat the tortillas for a minute on a tawa and then keep aside
  • On a serving plate, place one tortillas and take 1 tbsp of sourcream and spread it evenly on it, then sprinkle peppercorn, and then put the filling in the center of the tortilla
  • Roll it up tightly as shown and then cut it diagnally into 2 and then serve with Green chutney or sauce

Gobi Tikka Roll


Ingredients

1 1/2 cup med size cauliflower florets


For marination

3 tbsp hung curds


1/2 tsp dry mint


1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp garam masala powder


1 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp cornflour


salt to taste


Other ingredients


3-4 tortillas


1 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tsp soya sauce

1/2 cup sour cream


2 tsp oil


a pinch of orange food colour

1/2 cup shredded lettuce


Method

  • Marinate the cauliflower florets with ingredients mentioned under marinade for 30 minutes
  • Heat oil in a non stick pan, and fry this marinated cauliflower till it becomes semi-dry and gets cooked
  • Then add a pinch of orange food colour,tomato ketchup and soya sauce and fry on a high flame till dry
  • Lightly fry the tortilla and keep aside
  • Take one tortilla,apply sour cream evenly, put 2 tbsp filling and 2 tsp of shredded lettuce in the center of it
  • Fold the 2 ends and then roll it as shown below
  • Same way repeat it for the rest of the tortilla and make 3 more wraps and then serve hot

Healthy Tikki Salad Wrap

First of ALL let me Wish u all "A VERY HAPPY & A PROSPEROUS DIWALI".....and on this occasion i thought of doing something different and something which is healthy too....after all those diwali sweets, we need to have a healthy yet a delicious one isnt it....So y not try this salad wrap which is quiet a meal in itself and yet u ll definitely ask for more of it again...and yet again this is my own recipe which turned out to be so tasty that my family just enjoyed this one..A perfect wrap for any party!!!!




Ingredients

For the tikki

3 boiled and grated potato

2 med size carrots grated

6 green chillies finely chopped (adjust according to ur chillies)

3 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped

2 tsp roasted peanut powder

1 tbsp cornflour

salt to taste

For the salad

1 onion finely sliced

1 carrot cut into thin strips

1/2 cup finely sliced lettuce

1 cup whipped fresh yogurt

2 tsp dry mint

salt to taste

Other ingredients

4 tortilla

oil to shallow fry

1 cup bread crumbs

3-4 lettuce leaf

Method

For the Tikki

  • Take a bowl, add grated potato, grated carrot,roasted peanuts,green chilli,cornflour, coriander leaves,salt and mix well to form a smooth dough

  • Spread the bread crumbs in a plate and keep aside

  • Divide it into equal portion and take each portion and give a cylindrical shape to it

  • Roll the tikkis in the bread crumbs and keep it ready

  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, and shallow fry the tikkis on all the sides till golden brown & crisp and then drain on a kitchen towel and keep aside

For the salad

    • Mix all the ingredients mentioned under salad in a bowl and then keep aside

  • For the healthy wraps

    • Take one tortilla,and place one lettuce leaf in the center of it, then spread the salad evenly on the lettuce leaf

    • Then place 2 tikkis as shown in the pic and then roll it and cover it with an aluminum foil,repeat the same with the remaining tikkis and tortilla and make 3 more wraps and then serve hot..
