As i love chinese food a lot i thought of trying tikkas my chinese way and the taste was superb,more than what i expected it to be....just loved this unique tikkas, different yet very very tasty one!!!and worth a try!!
Ingredients
4-5 babycorns chopped
1/2 capsicum cut into cubes
1/2 white onion cut into cubes
For Marinade
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp Nando's Peri-peri sauce (optional) if not use schezwan sauce
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
2 tbsp chopped spring greens
2 tsp chopped & fried garlic
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
Other ingredients
1 tsp oil
2 tsp chopped garlic
Method
- Chop all the vegetables and keep aside

- Mix all the ingredients listed under marinade in a bowl and keep aside

- Add the babycorns, capsicum, onion and mix it well and marinate it for 1 hour

- Skew the babycorn,capsicum and onion alternatively as shown in the pic and keep the remaining marinade aside

- Grill it on a electronic grill pan or in the oven at 200 C for 10-15 minutes turning once or twice and basting it with little oil

- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and fry till light brown, then add the remaining marinade and the tikkas and toss well
- Garnish it with spring onion greens and serve with peri peri sauce
