Mini Taco Bell


My sister was speaking to me other day about a new food place opened in Bangalore where they do a lot of variations in tacos ..she was saying she had tasted something like potato tacos there but wasn't spicy enough ...well i thought why not try out a dish just for my sister and experiment it according to our taste buds cause we both have a very similar taste buds and we both are total foodie :).....Ok about this recipe ya i had some potato bites lying in the fridge which is my son's fav too so thought of doing something new as usual using this ...So this is for U Dear Sister hope u love this experiment of mine and even u all lovely bloggers and my readers out there if u just love my this new tacos please drop in your lovely feedback and comments as I love reading each one of Ur comments truly treasure each of them :)
Ingredients
4-5 Taco Shells
For the chilli potato filling
10-12 Frozen potato bites
4 big cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 tbsp Tomato sauce
1 tsp chilli sauce
2-3 broken Red chillies
1 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
For the cabbage mix
1/2 cup finely shredded cabbage
2 tsp fresh thick cream
1 tbsp sour cream
2 tsp freshly crushed peppercorns
salt to taste
Method
For the Chilli potato bites
  • Bake the Potato bites in a preheated oven at 200 ' c for 20 mins till the it turns golden brown .
  • In wok add oil fry chopped garlic till golden brown and then add broken red chillies, fry for a minute
  • Then add tomato sauce, soya sauce, chilli sauce and honey , mix well then sprinkle little water and then add the potato bites , roasted sesame seeds and salt to taste and at lastly add coriander leaves and then keep aside

For the Cabbage Mix
  • Lightly roast the cabbage for a min and then keep aside
  • In a bowl add cream, Sour cream, cabbage, salt, pepper and mix it well and then keep aside
For the Tacos

  • Microwave the Tacos for 15 seconds and arrange it in a serving dish
  • Fill each tacos with 1-2 tsp of cabbage mix, then top it up with 3 chilli potato bites and then garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot

We usually have tacos with chicken or with beans in restaurants, i never tried at home yet. You got lot of tacos recipes sure i hv to make it on myself at home...thanks for sharing dear..
