Schezwan Paneer Dragon Roll


Long back i had eaten this in a chinese restaurant in bangalore and i really liked the taste as it was spicy and different from the usual spring rolls.. they had used a potato filling but here i have used paneer and made it spicy and tasty....so do try this out and am sure u all will like it ......and wishing all of you a very

Ingredients


5-6 Patti sheets or wrappers

1 cup crumbled paneer

2 tbsp grated mozzarella cheese


4 tbsp chopped spring onion greens


1/4 cup chopped spring onions


2-3 tbsp schezwan sauce

1 tsp red chilli-garlic paste
or sauce

1 tsp vinegar

salt to taste

Maida paste to seal the edges of the sheets


oil to deep fry

Method


For the Filling
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the spring onion and half the spring onion greens for 1 min, and then add red chilli-garlic paste and fry for 1-2 minutes
  • Then add the schezwan sauce,vinegar and fry for another min, then add the crumbled paneer,cheese ,salt if required and mix well
  • Add the rest of the spring onions and mix well and keep the filling aside to cool

For the Rolls
  • Cut each patti sheet into rectangular shape and keep aside
  • Take one patti sheet and fold both the sides as shown below and put 1 tbsp filling at the end of the sheet

  • Roll it up tightly starting from the end and seal the edge using the maida paste and repeat the same for the rest of the sheets

  • Heat oil in a pan, and fry the rolls(2-3 at a time) on a medium flame till crispy and golden brown on both the sides and then drain on an kitchen towel
  • Take it out in a serving dish and garnish it with spring onion greens and serve hot with ketchup.

  96. Hi Sushma, I realized that the texture of the spring rolls/ egg rolls I made was different than yours. How much do you heat the oil: I did mine on high heat like puri's. Is it medium high heat?
