I would love to start this wonderful year with a special & my favourite vegetable gravy.....Another recipe that I just tried and just loved it, perfect for any occasion...it was so great with chapathi that we simply loved it ...try this flavorsome and lovely dry subzi and I bet ull just love this a lot as much as we did :) and am also sending it to giveaway contest by oraphan of easy veggie....
Ingredients
1 Cup Paneer (cubed)
1 cup Mushroom (Quartered)
2 tbsp oil to shallow fry
For the marinade
2 tbsp oil to shallow fry

1 tsp Kasoori methi
1 tsp Chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp gram flour
salt to taste
For the gravy
salt to taste

1 Big onion (chopped)
Pinch of Ajwain(carom seeds)
1/2 tsp Shahi jeera(caraway seeds)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
5-6 cloves of garlic grated
2-3 Green chilli Slit
1 green capsicum finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp cream
2 tbsp cream
2 tbsp coriander leaves
salt to taste
- Marinate Paneer, Mushroom with kasoori methi, chilli powder, turmeric powder, Gramflour, salt & sprinkle little water,mix it well and keep aside for 1/2 hr.
- Now fry this with 2 tbsp oil till cooked and slightly brown and keep aside.
For the gravy
- Heat oil Add pinch of ajwain, cumin seeds, Shahi jeera,and fry till it crackles
- Add onion and fry till golden brown, then add grated garlic, green chilli for 1 minute
- Add coriander powder, salt, pav bhaji masala, tomato puree, fry till raw smell goes off and oil starts separating from the sides
- Add tomato sauce , chopped capsicum and fry on low heat till capsicum gets cooked and gets blended well in masala.
- Add 1/4 cup water and cook for 2 mins now add milk,cream and fried paneer and mushroom cubes and cook till dry and gets well blended with all the flavours in it
- Finally Garnish with coriander leaves.

ReplyDeleteThank you sushmaji. That mavillaku is something we do as a prayer, its supposed to be something like melting inside to search for the goddess :)
