This is one of sanjeev kapoor's recipe but i have done certain variation to make it more delicious....i hope u all will like it...so here is the recipe
Ingredients
10 Bread slices
2 tbsp grated cheese(optional)
2 tbsp butterFor the filling
1 Cup Boiled American sweet corn
1 finely chopped onion
2 slit green chilli
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 capsicum finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
few coriander leaves chopped
1/2 tsp coriander powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
salt & pepper to taste
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp fresh cream
2 tsp oil
Method
- Cut the bread slices into roundels using a cutter,apply butter and keep aside
For the filling
- Heat oil in a pan,add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute,add green chillies,corn,onion and fry till transparent
- Add capsicum,tomato and cook till it gets mashed
- Add coriander powder,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder,lemon jucie,salt,pepperand stir fry for 2 minutes
- Then add milk and cream and allow it to boil and keep stiring till the filling becomes thick as shown in the picture
- Remove it in a bowl and allow to cool,
- Preheat oven to 150 C for 5 min
- Take a bread slice,put 1 tbsp of corn filling and spread it evenly and top it with grated cheese(well i didnt have cheese so didnt use it)
- Bake it at 150 C for 5 minutes or till cheese melts or till crisp(if ur not using cheese)
- Serve Hot with tomato ketchup
