Crispy Cauliflower Salt & Pepper


1 cup cauliflower cut into medium size florets

3 tbsp cornflour

1tsp ginger, grated

1 tsp garlic, grated

1 teaspoon lemon juice

salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp red chilli powder

3 tbsp gramflour

a pinch of cooking soda

oil for deep frying

1 or 2 white onion cut into cubes

4-5 green chillies finely chopped

2 sprigs of curry leaves

1 tbsp freshly crushed peppercorn

salt to taste

1 tsp oil


  • In a bowl, add cauliflower,garlic,ginger,cornflour,red chilli powder,cooking soda, gramflour,salt,pepper,lemon juice and mix it well, add a little water to make it into a sticky texture
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the cauliflower till golden brown, Drain it on a kitchen towel and keep aside
  • Heat 1 tsp oil and add cubed onion and fry till transparent,then add green chillies and curry leaves and stir fry for a min 
  • Then add fried cauliflower and sprinkle salt and pepper
  • Serve Hot
