Ingredients
1/2 kg Prawns
Oil to deep fry
For marinate
2 tsp chilli paste
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
salt to taste
For the batter
1/2 cup gram flour
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3 tsp cornflour
2 tsp rice flour
a pinch of cooking soda
salt to taste
Method
- Clean the Prawns and boil for 10 minutes
- Drain it and put all the prawns in a bowl,add salt,ginger-garlic paste,chilli paste and marinate for half an hour
- In another bowl,add all the ingredients under batter and mix it well and add water as required to make a semi-thick smooth paste
- Heat oil in a pan,dip the marinated prawns in the batter and deep fry it till crisp and golden brown.
- Garnish it with onion rings and lemon wedges
