Shanghai rice

1 cup cooked basmati rice

1/2 boiled eggless noodles
1 carrot finely chopped
3-4 beans finely chopped
1/4 cup cabbage finely chopped
1/2 cup spring onion greens 
6-7 garlic flakes sliced
2 tsp chilli paste(soak fried red chilli in water for 2 minutes and grind it to a fine paste)
2 tsp light soya sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
4 tbsp oil(2 tbsp for mixing in noodles and rice)
salt to taste
  • Mix salt and oil in rice as well as noodles and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in pan , add chill paste and fry till the raw smell disappears.
  • Then add sliced garlic and fry till golden brown 
  • Add all the vegetables,soya sauce,salt and fry for few minutes
  • Add vinegar, rice, noodles and mix it well
  • close the lid and cook it for 10 minutes
  • Serve hot with any chinese gravy.
