Well I used puff pastry sheets, but if its not available u can try making this puff pasty using this recipe
Ingredients
For puff pastry
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold butter
1 cup ice water or as required
For the filling
2 Boiled eggs cut into halves
1 tsp jeera
2 onion sliced
2 tsp curry powder
1 red chilli powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method
For puff pastry
- Add Butter, salt and ice cold water to maida and make a smooth dough.
Divide dough into eight equal portions and make small balls
Flatten these balls, sprinkle a little flour and roll them into a rectangular shape with a rolling pin
For the filling
Heat oil in a pan, add jeera and onions and fry till transparent
Add curry powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and fry for few minutes. Keep it aside
Take a puff pastry , place an egg on it then put the filling on top of the egg and then fold puff pastry and close it with a help of a fork
Bake this in oven at 180 c for 20 Or till the puff becomes crispy (Open the oven after every 10min and turn the puffs so that puff gets baked from all sides evenly).
Serve with tomato ketchup.
